DJI New Pilot Event 2015 with FirstPersonView (UK)

Saturday 28th of March was our first DJI New Pilot Experience event in Brighton. This was as much of a new experience for us as it was for those attending, but the feedback was great and we felt everyone got a lot out of the programme.

The Deans Leisure Centre played host to the event (which is where we also recently held our International Drone Day earlier this month) which provided us space for a presentation on quadcopter and multirotor use, covering areas such as:

  • The UK laws and regulations around drone safety
  • What are non-military ‘drones’ and how do they work
  • Flying and maintenance of your multirotor/drone
  • As well as an overview introduction to the DJI Phantom series (with focus on the DJI Vision+ quadcopter) and the newest product, the DJI Inspire 1.

However, due to bad weather we didn’t get out in the field for some hands-on flying of the products, but nevertheless we spent over 2 hours learning about the ins and outs (literally!) of quadcopter technology and the products, as well a great Q&A session at the end. Attendees even got to purchase products to take home and fly straight away (or at least when the weather was better).

If you’re planning to purchase a DJI product later this year and would like to better understand how to get the most out of it then please do attend one of our next events:

  • 8th of May 2015
  • 9th of July 2015
  • 6th of August 2015
