What is an FPV system for?

First Person Viewing (FPV) is the ability of a pilot to fly an RC aircraft using one or more cameras positioned on the aircraft. The cameras are linked to a headset of video goggles which the pilot wears to view the video image from the onboard camera perspective. this creates an immersive experience for the pilot and allows for flying a quadcopter, camera drone or other RC vehicle from a completely new and thrilling perspective.

What does an FPV system include

There are two frequencies that an FPV system operate at, these are 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz,

An FPV system includes the basic components of a miniature video camera, a video signal transmitter, a compatible video signal receiver and a video display apparatus (video screen or video goggles) along with cables.>

Most FPV systems operate on the 5.8GHz waveband. This ensures that there is no interference between the FPV system and the drones radio control system, which is generally on the 2.4 GHz waveband.
